Exclamation Chain problem with my Yamaha ytm 200

Hey guys...just have a question about my 3 wheeler. So I was shifting from 2 to 3 and my chain fell off...so today I went to put it back on which went fine but it was way to loose? Is their a tensioner or what is the problem cause this is the same chain that I have used for the last number of years...I'm thinking that I maybe need new sprockets? But not exactly sure

Depending on how much you ride, chains should be replaced every 1-2 years. Add tension in between as needed to keep the chain in spec. Or else they'll start eating away at your sprockets. It sounds to me as if you need a new chain and new front and rear sprockets.

It also sounds to me if you want someone to do your homework for you. I mean you're asking if your own machine has a tensioner?

MY advice to you would be to search really hard online for a free copy of your 3 wheeler's owners / repair manual. If you can't find it free, pay $5-10 for a digital copy. If there's no digital copy, spend $20-30 for a physical copy. Ebay should have it. All your answers should be in there as far as chain specs.

I'm assuming here, but judging by the way you're asking about the chain.. It might not be a bad idea for you to change the Oil, Oil Filter and Spark Plug as well. Maybe run some Seafoam in the gas tank to clean up the fuel system a bit.

All the info about which plug, oil and filter should be in the manual as well. Check the air filter too.

    Good Luck

I just replaced spark plugs and I also just cleaned the carb. Yea I had come to that conclusion as well. I did some research after i asked the question. Thanks!
