    No I havent. I guess I will have to do that.

    I think it might be time to dig into the top end......It could be a combination of upper or lower end rod bearings accompanied by piston slap.....All indicators of wear and tear. Some guys use a stethoscope to pinpoint the noise. I've also used a pry bar or a long screwdriver place on the motor while having the opposite end touching your ear.....This method is cheapest if you go the Mc gyver route to isolate the noise.
