250R Frame Year Identification Issue

Hey fellas.
I'm having issues telling what year this bike is.
I've recently had problems installing steering bearings and since the races aren't fitting, and after ordering a second set of bearings and them being the same part number, Im dumbfounded.
Granted, I have yet to try to install my new bearings.

This bike was sold to me as an 82.
From the info I have found, I still dont know my year.
Here are the pictures of my serial number, and the info I was going off of to identify.

Never mind, never mind. Im an idiot.
I was looking at engine numbers not frame.



But still on the topic of bearing installation, has anybody here had issues going from the OEM steering bearings to the new style tappered ball bearings?
