So I have an 83 yt 125 that has a perfectly good running headlight but my taillight blows as soon as I give gas to my machine
...I'm putting in a 6v 8.3watt bulb in it.
Could someone help me out with this. ? It doesn't have a rectifier or regulater

You have to use the 6v headlight specified in order for the tail light to last. By using the 2 correct bulbs, the system is balanced and won't blow them.
It sucks. I converted mine over to 12v dc
