Well I broke the recoil cord on my 84 200s. What is a good replacement cord to get? Whats the diameter of the rope and the best brand to get?
Thanks

Hey neighbor, i know theres a couple lawn mower/chainsaw repair shops in worcester area that would have better rope than depot or lowes would. Tractor supply or the store next door to them on 146s (millbury) would have it. Good luck you'll find it.
Very cool I appreciate it!
It's nice to meet someone fromm here who's local! Does this mean I can take my trike to you if I have any issues? LOL
If i didnt have my own issues sure.
If you ever need any piston,bore/hone work go to harry's machine shop its in northboro on rt9 (great guy) he's been in business since the late 70's
Careful of the spring inside, try not to let it escape(uncoil) what a pain in the behind they are.....

Before you frustrate yourself too much trying to get it back in, get an extra set of hands. You need all the help you can get putting those back in LOL. Plus when you get frustrated you can hand it to them to give it a try.![]()
Or if you can clamp it to a table or in a vice I'm sure it'd make it a lot easier. I wonder if someone found an easy trick to getting them back in. Might have to look on YouTube.
Howdy has some sort of trick to get those back in. I don't recall what it was but maybe he will post.

i never found it all that difficult to do just be gentle with it and keep the spring pushed down and keep pressure on the inside as you wind it around.
A rope from a Yamaha Big Bear is a direct replacement, same length and everything...
