    Muffler Coatings

I just bought a 1986 250r expansion pipe. It is pictured below, it has the original paint buy fading, but i was wondering if anyone had any good ideas as to what i could coat the pipe with. I have a 2006 kx450f that i sent the header pipe out to get ceramic coated by jet hot. That was a great coating. Besides that coating has anyone done any other coatings like powder coating, specific spray paint That work well?

tried them all, ceramic is the only way to go. It lasts longer than spray paint or powder.

I was just at O'Reilly and noticed that VHT makes a ceramic exhaust paint in satin black. I had mine ceramic coated before I saw this stuff. It might be worth a shot?

i just tried the VHT on an exhaust pipe and muffler. It goes on matte black. in the high heat area where the pipe meets the head, it turned a lighter shade of black/grey, but did not appear to break down.

Quick Glo Chrome Cleaner - 8 ouces. Jar

It was on the jay Leno show where he said that stuff is great. I bought two bottles and it works amazing. I was using it to polish a Crome fmf pipe.
I also tried using never dull which is a fabric with some cleaner on it but that started to change the Crome shine to a yellow. The quick glow cleaner is safe to use and doesn't discolor the Crome.

I've tried the MAAS polish with great results. Would definitely recommend it.
