    250r front sproket

On an 86 250r is the front sproket supposed to have play on the shaft? I can move mine about a quarter of an inch in and out on the shaft even though the end bolt is tight. I was just wondering is it supposed to be that way or is something wrong with mine. The splines are still good and it doesnt slip that way, just in and out. Thanks

Since you didn't appreciate the sarcasm on your handlebar question, I won't use any this time. No, there shouldn't be any play at all. It sounds like someone has installed an incorrect sprocket, or you're missing the spacer on the countershaft behind countershaft sprocket.

Hmmm....good question. My front sprocket on the Tri-Z has a little wobble too, I think it should though because if it's tight against something else it will wear it away. Dunno!
