    Front axle HELP needed, really.

Hi there guys. I am needing help with info on front axles.
The reason: I need a front axle 1 inch longer than the TRI-Z axle. The front suspension of my IMPOSTOR MINI http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...I-m-working-on
is needing a longer front axle. The front end is composed of the following parts:
    86-87 TECATE triples
    85-86 250R forks (with a bushing)
The reason I'm using a Z axle is because it's a bit longer than the R, but not close to the TECATE axle.

So, I'm in need of a 15mm axle the is the length of the 86-87 TECATE axle.
It should be 13-14 inches long. I thought of welding the length needed, but that is not safe.

The question is: Is there an axle form another trike that can be used?
    225dx, ATC 200/250es, 110, 125? Or anything with a balloon front tire?

Anyone with concrete information, please, comment below or PM me. I have read everything I can find on the forums here and the net, without any luck. If the info is here, please, point me in the right direction.
It's all it needs to be mechanically ready.

    Please, help.
    Thanks n advance.

I'll measure my 2nd gen 250r axle I have when I get home, its longer than 3rd gen because when I swapped 3rd gen forks on my 2nd gen I went to use axle and it bottomed out threads long before compression spacers/bearings. A big red or sx axle would probably be long enough, I don't have any of those sitting around but I remember my buddy needed an axle for his 85 250es and bought like 3 "big red" axles from various places that all had to be sport trike axles because they were all 1-2" too short before he finally found a correct axle.

Thank you guys for your help. Keep the measurements coming. I'm pretty sure this will help more people out.

Shep1970, that is one beautiful, brand new axle. I'm guessing finding a front axle from an 86-87 200x out won't be neither easy nor cheap.

Conbon, please post the front axle measurements when you have them. That maybe the one needed.

Anyone else have measurements for an 83-84R front axle? Or any of the balloon tired trikes?

    Thank you,

    TORKER.

Ok, it looks like the 83-84 250R and the 200X axles are the same part #.
So I will be trying one out as soon as I can find one.
I have posted a wanted add on the classifieds.
If you have one, please, let me know.
Thanks to Shep1970 for the pic.
And, Connor, if you can measure the 83-84 250R axle and confirm, it would be great!

What I have the overall length is 13-1/16". I know one is off my '84, I forget where I picked the other one up from.
