the 350x manual says to lubricate the drive chain with SAE #80 or #90 gear oil, what would be the best to use/what do you use? Also how often do you clean and lube the chain? thank you

I use some generic spray on white lithium grease after every ride. Is it the best? I don't know. But it is easy to put on and it stays put.

wd40 after a ride...everything else keeps dirt on it.
I just use some gear oil. Or in a pinch, I might use bar and chain oil for a chainsaw.
Castrol chain lub here. Running a O-ring chain.
While on subject. Anyone try a chain brush? Saw one the other day.
90w gear oil for an o-ring chain.
clean and lube it after every ride
You're supposed to oil chain? .....learn new things every day. And that last one lasted for 8 years without any lube at all! Haha.....

Atc 500x for the win! (Hopefully.... one day)
I like wax spray on an o-ring chain, doesn't pick up or throw much. In theory you don't even have to lube an o-ring chain, but it does prevent rust.
It sucks to get old

Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.
Bump…..80-90w gear oil will prevent orings from drying up. Don’t need much. If it is slinging all over then too much was applied. The shop book is my favorite go to, anymore…

Lots of vintage and not so vintage two wheeled stuff.
I bought my first can of maxima, recently. All I can say is it’s pretty sticky.
