    Crank question!

Hey everyone. I'm wondering if anyone knows what the thread pitch it on the crank where the stater mounts? It's a 1983 250r. I know it's a 12mm but wanted to know the pitch. I maimed the end of it up when I was pulling the flywheel off and want to fix it if I can. It's not to bad I don't think. Was thinking I could use a thread chaser. Any help would be appreciated. Here's a pic.

You don't really need to run a die over it. All you need is a metric thread file, there will 4 different thread pitches on each end of this square file X 2 = 8 different thread pitches. Another option is buy any small 3 sided file, the sides will all be 60*, most all threads are 60*.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up using a combination of a small square file and buying a thread chaser kit and got the job done. The kit was kinda pricey but worth it I think in the long run.
