    1984 Honda 200s electrical issue?

    Greetings,

    I have a 1984 Honda 200s that's been sitting up for a while. I dusted it off and got it running pretty good but the other day I was easing along and it just shut off like you hit the kill switch. It does this at random times after it's been in use for a while (20-30min) and generally it will fire right up after it shuts off. Occasionally I can't get it to start up for a few minutes. A friend of mine said that it sounded like the coil had a break in it and whenever it gets warmed up the connection is breaking.

    What y'all think?

    Sounds like the CDI box is on its way out to me but ohm out all the electronics on the bike with a multimeter as per the manual.

    Roger that, I'll give it a shot. The good new is I have a 185s lying around that I can swap parts out with to see exactly what the problem is. I'll let y'all know what I find.
