    Another 1984 atc 250r build.

Well I started building my 84 250r. The trike is pretty much complete but I am looking for a couple things and maybe some advice. I'm thinking of sending the cyl down to kustom craft for their 290 kit. I like the fact that they nic the cyl. Anyone have any reviews? I'm also looking for a rear skid plate and a pipe/ silencer of some sort.

A good friend of mine is a pretty deadly painter and hooked me up with the tank paint and the rest of the parts are heading for powder coat on Monday.

Good stuff! My first ATC was an '84 250r when I was 14. Still wish I had it..Have an 86' for now.

    Clean looking 2-85. I grew up near a white dealer...Still quite a few around. I have a 2-65.

I picked it up a couple years ago, Stored indoors it's whole life. 2600 original hours. I got the yard boss given to me last summer. Going to do a full resto on it after the 84r.

Nice looking tanks. The one in back looks like a first gen R? I've only read one report on the Kustom Kraft 290. They weren't impressed. Save your money and get a nice port job from a reputable person. Followed up with a good aftermarket pipe.

    Another 1984 atc 250r build.

Well I have decided against powdercoating the 84 as it's going to be my daily driver. It's getting it's fair share of parts tho. I did not end up with a custom craft 290 but I did get a Hondaline 300 big bore of a guy on here it was a little on the rough looking side. But the engine shop was able to get it into tip top shape for me. Here's a few pics.

I see you've gone another route, but will mention that I have known Mark over the phone for over 7 years and have done 5 cylinders and two crankshafts with him (he outsources the cranks). No complaints at all.
