Organizing a pile of lathe inserts, this came as part of a package deal and I never really looked through them. I generally use high-speed steel. Not sure what I will really do with them but it was nice to see what I have

If you're looking for guidance in that department I'd recommend asking Steve (DC). He can probably tell you what a lot of it is and might be interested in any stuff you'd like to get rid of.

Good lathe tooling there. If you're used to high-speed steel cutters, you need to throw one of those bars in a tool post and watch your surface finishes get much better. Also if there's three or four inserts in a pack there in those stacks, and they are new/unused, that's easily several hundred dollars worth of inserts there.

Also, if the inserts are chipped or junk, carbide inserts are worth about $8 a pound scrap price so save them up

Today I rebuilt one of my saws, a Husqvarna 262xp. There was nothing wrong with it, just wanted to freshen her up with new crank bearings, seals, and a Metoer piston. I opted not to port this saw as the cylinders are NLA. I did mod the muffler and make a thinner base gasket to bring the squish down a bit. Nice old saw! Tomorrow, back to killing trees

Yeah dogs have a knack for looking starving and miserable when you are eating something they want, don't they?

Test and tuned on Waterloo, adjusted cam timing, stuck in a bigger cam, took off like a rocket ship, readjusted, went the wrong way somewhere. Start from scratch another day.
Also picked up a H&S 90 stroker 62.5 stroke starting to think about the next build.

Sure would like to find a 90 metal fender in great shape for the right price.

    Mother's Day.

Got some work done around the house. Cut the lawns for the first time this year. Loaded up my summer tires (tyres for the American folk). Putting them on tomorrow.

Visited the GF's mom and my mom today.
