I bent the axle on my way home from Trikefest 2016. I then replaced it with a brand new one (which is this one), and I immediately bent it on my first trip out with the new axle. I'm very glad to find that I can straighten them now but kicking myself for throwing the old one away and spending hundreds of dollars on a new one.

I have yet to experience a bent axle, I imagine this was on a single so it was obvious? ( so I know what to look for)

was this just overloaded or bad road plus load?

Love the ingenuity in your setup, web support and all

Triple axle 35' toy hauler. I could see it was bent by looking at it but I knew what to look for from the one that bent already, and I also knew it had taken a hard hit. If you laid a straight edge along the sides of the tires it was really easy to see.

It was loaded heavy and I hit a huge pot hole. It doesn't help that the previous owner of the trailer destroyed the back door/ramp, so he built a door from structural steel which is extremely heavy and the definition of the word overkill. Stupid.

Also, the trailer is supposed to have load range D tires on it, but I insisted on load range E when I got new tires because this thing is super heavy. If it had the correct tires on it, there is a chance that they would have absorbed the bump instead of making the axle bend. There is also the chance the pot hole would have blown a lesser tire right off and caused even more damage, but who knows?

Having a much needed beverage after a lot more wrenching, same thing for tomorrow.

Apologies for expressing myself somewhat graphically earlier to those who caught it.

You missed everyone "liking" a post by William which essentially said the very same thing I said in my very first post in the Anthony and Kate thread. Funny, nobody liked it when I said it. To me that says a lot. You missed me giving Bryan the argument he wanted so badly and losing my shite in the process.

When something bothers me in my life, I eliminate it from my life. This forum became very bothersome to me yesterday. To see my "friends" appreciate the same thing I said but only when someone else says it tells me a lot. Maybe I'm on here too much, maybe nobody wants to align themselves with me for whatever reason they have, but it's bullshit that I get someone dragging me into an argument for something I said, then that very same person can agree with the same thing I said only when it's said by someone else. I have a lot of friends, and I don't care if I do or not. I can afford to lose some. Thanks for the push Bryan, love it when people get me fired up. Should be nice and quiet on here for a while now.

“You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life" ― Winston S. Churchill
While "enemies" may be a bit strong of a word sometimes, the quote still has merit.

Caught the first few pages of a new book out called.
The subtle art of not giving a f*CK.
Seemed like a good time to post it.. looked like a great read hopefully I'll get a chance when on vacation this week.
    A quote from the book

    Think positive?

“F*ck positivity,” Manson says. “Let’s be honest; sometimes things are f*cked up and we have to live with it"

Pondering what it was like to have lived 10,000 years ago when this guy had the munchies. The plaque said they weighed as much as 900 pounds when fully grown!

Another quote I actually try to and did at one time live by.

"You and everyone you know are going to be dead soon. And in the short amount of time between here and there, you have a limited amount of f*cks to give. Very few, in fact. And if you go around giving a fu*k about everything and everyone without conscious thought or choice—well, then you’re going to get f*I cked."

Definitely a force for early man to deal with. No bones about it.
