That's not good. The whole reason to update the ignition from that dura spark crap is to make it more reliable.

I’m hoping the fix is a fresh 427 SOHC engine

Did Ford make something that bolts on, or would that be 100% aftermarket?

460 80 over and then stroked. D0VE block, converted to 4 bolt main. First time I stomped on it, popped out 3 freeze plugs ( still some flex in that block!). So tapped it for solid plugs, it never sees cold weather anyway

I recall reading that partially filling those blocks with Devcon liquid steel was a must for serious drag duty.

As my weekend hauler in the summer, I wasn’t sure about cooling issues. The solid plugs seem to be holding. I also went with iron heads that I had opened up 2.02/1.79 iirc and then ported. Less reliability issues tho this spark thing surprised me

    Update: distributer gear got eaten

Nice gazebo plastikos, the roof looks like it’ll be “fun” to put together. All cedar and precut, with hardware? Price tag if you don’t mind me asking? Guessing $4,500 give or take?

Ive been in the market for one but it may be cheaper to go that route then start from scratch.

Oh and for you coon lovers out there, this one was stuck in the wifes dumpster at work. All the trash has been piled outside of it cuz the ladies were to scared to go near it..... all it needed was a trash bag or two to get out/ has been stuck there for three days I freed him today though Click image for larger version.

Had the 5 yr old grandson out on the 70 today. Will have to post up a video next time. He did well I wish there was an easier brake he could work. Anybody have any ideas? Small hands make it hard to reach and squeeze the lever.

Took a ride this evening on the FZR that will probably be my last as my back just can't handle that riding position very long. Tonight was better........I got nearly 50 miles in with little discomfort......... a good day mainly on back roads!!
