Taking apart a staircase at a job and just now I found some glass jars. I was hoping they were full of silver dollars but no....
Looks like a jam of sorts, o’well. I just hope I don’t break one open. Been sealed in that space- nailed shut a LONG time, there were basement stairs below but not for atleast a hundred yrs.(taken out)
I should open one but scared that there under pressure. (Late 1800’s house)
Soooo I’ve got free jam for massholes today..... Click image for larger version.

xlnt, now advertise them on ebay with some fancy glorified description and see what happens.

    "ULTRA RARE "BARN FIND"

"Found in the dusty basement of a luxurious early 1800's Colonial style mansion. or "Found in the cupboard of a small, humble, early 1800's Western Prairie home."

One nice blue/green glass jar. Looks to be different fruit in each one (maybe flavored booze) who knows...
Thought it was odd, gotta be a story there somewhere. Not tasting it though.....or sniffing it.

I’m gonna open one, give me a min-
Damn thing was stuck, had to use a screwdriver to pry it open, no pressure. Nope I didn’t smell it either.
Still not sure what this one was, that’s it for me though Click image for larger version.

That's so cool, would be neat to hear the story for sure. This kind of stuff is always intriguing to me. Taste one of those, are they peppercorns? Maybe at one time it was meat in that one......

I told the customer about the jars they want nothing do with them. I’m going to keep the blue/green glass one. I’m just glad there wasn’t rotting eyeballs or fingers in them.......or maybe there was

    Shep

Maybe I’ll just ship them all to glamy.

Maybe for the same reason Jeffrey Dahmer kept Head And Shoulders in the refrigerator.

Having a 2hr conversation with Wrestling Legend and Hall of Famer Hillbilly Jim about various topics.

He got open heart a couple weeks after me by the same surgeon so we had to compare scars which is how the whole thing got started
