Installed new rear air shocks and new "standard height" rear coil springs an the Elco.

They had 2 inch lowering coils in the rear before but just wanted a little more of a lift....for hauling and drivability reasons. Boy the rear end got jacked up 3-4 inches...more than what I wanted. I'm not a fan of the new stance but my wife is totally digging it…. That jacked up 70s vibe. I guess I'll grow into it. It drives sooo much better with the new rear coils and rear shocks that now I want to do the front as well.

What type of coils did you use? I put some new rear ones on my car a while back (Moog?). They were thicker wire and progressively wound instead of the thinner and straight rate stock ones, which were sagging anyway from age. The certainly made the car ride better.

They were the ACDelco ones...... And everything you just described is what was my experience. They were thicker, progressively wound, and just seem much stiffer. I could barely get the coil spring compressor to hold on to them they were so much more thicker. I had the BNR 2inch lowering coils for the rear and they were MUCH shorter and thinner.

I'm thinking the front ones are stock. They are a half a century old...... So I'm guessing they sagged a couple of inches over the years.. Again I have a set of BNR 1 inch front lowering springs that I never installed and am wondering if they would at bare minimum maintain the existing ride height if not raise it just a little (which would be ideal for me)..... In comparison to the stock sagging existing ones. It currently has a 2" spindle drop for the front end… but I'm scared I may get another 3 or 4" left if I went with AC Delco stock height ones. I guess the only thing to do is take the existing ones out and measure them up to the is the BNR ones

Hired my 13 year old granddaughter as a intern in my sons floor business. Today was her first day of work. As a father and grandfather I couldn’t have been any prouder as I was today. 3 generations of Spencer’s working the same job. Part of the deal with this internship was the % of her pay she has to put away in savings. The lessons she’s learning are priceless.

Got worried about the snow load on our gazebo at our campsite so walked in to take care of the problem. Probably don't have much to worry about as I have 2"x6" uprights installed to protect the roof in case we don't get out in time to clean it off. Brought snowshoes just in case but someone managed to drive in earlier giving us a track to walk. A bit of a challenge for little man dog but she digs the snow all day long. This amount of snow so early in the year is a record for us....got to be an honest 12-14" without drifts.

And your eyes aren't playing tricks....man dog like to chill by the fire on the cat tree.

No better moment as a parent knowing that all that work and advise has paid off. Although I think I would much rather have been in that cabin in the woods. Looks like a great spot.

Another proud dad story..... So my youngest "jake" Senior in high school is a A+ student in all of his classes (honestly i have no idea where he gets it from!)
Calculus is his favorite class (i personally hated it) C student if i was lucky.....in all my classes.
Anyway he had a list of three colleges he wanted to attend, his first choice which from what i understand is very hard to get accepted too. CIA in NY (Culinary Institute of America) one of which he applied too 3-weeks ago has sent him an "early" acceptance letter
New york is not the place i would choose to send him but its no where near the city and the college is just west of upper border of Massachusetts so only about 3hrs from home-
Since he was 5 he wanted to be either Indiana Jones or a chef (kitchen guy w/funny white hat)
Now gotta go rob some banks to pay for it though....
Ok enough braggin' about my kid.
Its a great day when your son gets accepted to the school of his first choice, And kyle rittenhouse is proven Not Guilty yup i had to throw that last bit in too

That is some great news for you and your son, congratulations! The best thing about about becoming a chef is it's recession proof and the job will never be able to be done with a phone. So that will make 80% of our current population stay away from trying to get into it....it's actual work and takes effort to become a great chef. Money's over rated anyways.....I know, I put my daughter through University for her degree over 6 years. Nothing we own is new....oh well, such is life. At least she walked away debt free to concentrate on life.

That is a very nice car...or truck.....or? JK, it's awesome! For me I like El Cam's and Ranchero's look to be dead level even if the front end looks a bit elevated.

This is the greatest gift you can give your little girl.

My niece walked away from school with so much debt it honestly feels like small house payment. Parents helped the best they could but they were limited. I'm sure once she starts her internship things will get better but for now she's looking at an iceberg.

Just getting over being sick.

I've been around someone with covid and figured I caught that. I waited 5-6 days after feeling ill to get testesed and it came back negative, which didn't help me feel any better. The doctor prescribed the typical meds a few days ago and I'm coming out of it but still not jumping around. I'm at least getting better sleep now.

Fortunately vomiting wasn't an issue, which was very good because I totally lost my appetite and didn't eat more than a bite or two for several days. Just now getting able to eat some small snacks/meals.
