Checking out the Uhaul rates to move to San Francisco from Arkansas and vise versa.

$5,545.00 From San Francraphole to Mena, Arkansas and $682 the other way. It sure seems like people are wanting out of there pretty bad and others don't want to go near it. I visited a few years back and that was one time too many.
Of course, very few if any of those people would want to live in Mena. I'm sure the people in Mena are happy about that. Unfortunately, Tom Cruise was in a movie set in Mena, so some of those people may at least know it exist.

Probably not there anymore, but DeQueen is has an airport and is friendly to illegal ingress.
There was that one guy who got caught piling pregnant Marshallese women in a house there so he could sell their children. He's a bit of an exception, but at least he got off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Maybe Tom Cruise can play him in a movie.

I took a few more stock wheels to the dump. I was able to save both the inner rings out of all of them though, not that they're needed in aftermarket wheels or that they'll even fit.
Saving what I can after going through a pile of them to sort out what's even salvageable. I've got a usable set of 8" and 9", then one split 8" and two YTM three bolt 8". That's aftering the bent lips back into shape on a few of them. These things have been floating around here for a while and I figured it's about time to get them powder coated and put back for spares.
I used to sand blast and paint them myself. The fun wore off of doing that a long time ago.
deciding if I want to put tubes in my OEM 300ex front wheels since my buddy chewed the beads up with his however he took them off the rim tire changer....or if i want to buy new front tires. However I just fiixed a 350x front rim where someone used a tire spoon wrong and dug thru the rim lip bead...welded it up took 2 hours to file to shape now will hold air again.
goods with incorrect tools or knowing how to use tools.........ugh!
Tubes are ride killers.
Get a puncture and the ride is over. Have to break it completely down to repair. They're also dang expensive at %15 or more of the tire cost which are tubeless anyway.
Tubes are fun for floating rivers or pulling behind a boat in a lake, but can be just plain misserable in an ATV tire. Low pressure and without bead locks...where'd the valve stem go? Oh, that's right, the valve stems typically have a nut, so if the tire spins it just rips the stem out of the tube.
Santa putting tubes in my stocking wouldn't be any different than coal. Humbug!
Mentioning tubes in ATV tires just ruined my whole day. Thanks.![]()
Deciding whether to use the aftermarket carbon fiber tail piece or just keep the stock one and see if I can find a color matching pillion cover for the XR.
The stock one is so much more nicer and the fit and finish is so much better … but I'm a guessing if the carbon fiber one was painted ...I don't know.
I already have the paint on hand to do the job so maybe I should just do it

Those were really more of a syling exercise than performance. I'd say keep the stock piece if you feel the other isn't up to snuff visually.
Those are probably going to one of THE bikes to have in a collection and the closer to stock it is, the easier it'll sell for someone wanting it for that. The exhaust is a nice addition though.
-23 this morning when I walked the dog at 5 A.M. Stayed in the house the rest of the day, didn't do jack sh!t. About time I had a slacker day, although I do feel a bit guilty.....![]()
