I got some new parts in last Friday. A handful of Honda NGK plugs, because online ordering of NGK plugs has become a crapshoot if they're counterfeit or not. The 200ES uses that weird half step temp plug (-L).

Got a #90 main for the 200ES to see how that gets me through the higher elevation. I left my jet drilling kit at home and don't have any spares.

It's been a while since I've been into the carb on that one, so I got an OEM carb gasket kit to prevent any leaky leaky after the jet change. Going to pull the carb off and give it a basic clean while I'm at it. It's not running bad other than being too rich.

We've had our motorcycle permits over a yr we had to take an on-line (written test) for that and could only ride sunrise to sunset-ish and not leave the state, now within a couple wks our new Ma drivers license will have a "M" on it. or something like that.
It was great though our instructor today actually did the test himself through(for) the registry. So after watching us ride through cones/painted lines for a few hours he could see who had no issues riding bikes and cruised us through the test.
Was not fun being in a parking lot for 6hrs and a hot 90* out and humid, pants and long sleeve jackets required and gloves...but its over!!!!
Tried booking a test through the registry (would have been cheaper) but they were 6-months out on appointments if lucky.

That's good y'all finally have that "M". Sounds like MA really puts people through the ringer for a motorcycle endorsement.

At the time I got mine, the written test was something like fifteen questions and they simply asked if I knew how to ride (no riding test). Bing, bang, boom, done and out in minutes.

Yep, fill out the questionnaire and go jump on a Hayabusa. Hard to believe people get hurt on motorcycles lol.

I'm prepping for a well earned vacation. Letting my two helpers operate and grade and such, while I do what I do worst, supervise and try and keep my mouth shut. Kids gotta learn some how!

I got my motorcycle permit when I was 15. Found it odd that we could ride a bike by ourselves but couldn't drive in a car. My buddy was riding a road king and I on a smoking Joe's cbr! Good times

I hear you. On the flip side, a first truck can be a one ton 4x4 with a lift kit, 600hp, and aftermarket bumpers strong enough to push over small trees. One licensing flaw allows new drivers to hurt themselves more easily, the other allows them to kill others more easily. It's commonly understood that cage drivers only need to say 'I didn't see them' after killing a motorcyclist to avoid a single day in jail and in most cases, even a traffic citation.

If it's any consolation, 14 year old's in Arkansas can only get a full license for a 250cc (or less) motorcycle.

Before the times of political insanity, it was understood that a person on a motorcycle was not a high risk to the general cage driving public. That, and young people could more easily afford a motorcycle and have an early experience of transportation freedom. More young US people used to ride motorcycles.

On the other hand, all the young kids with no training or license, riding 50cc scooters (also those with big bore kits and larger engine swaps) are crashing at much higher rates than reported, because many crashes don't require a hospital visit. Many of those were never proficient on a bicycle, because the number of US children cycling to school took a steep dive after the 1970's. Never knowing how to properly ride a bicycle, then jumping onto something capable of 30+ mph with no physical effort is a dangerous introduction to single track vehicles, especially on public roads.

I rode my street bike in the rain again.

It's just about all I have left to enjoy in life. Every time a Politi-crat wants to get reelected, I can afford gasoline again.

There's no pronouns when I'm riding my bike. No gender dysphoria. No delusional ideology. No smug children's Oppression Olympics. No Pyramid Heirarchy of Victimhood. No obsessions with fetacide or paternalistic racism ("Uncle Honky just wants to help Aunt Jemima")

I know bikes, wet roads, and the whole thing going squiggly. It's a bit of fun. I've also owned many manual steering cages, which give a distinct feel of tire slip in the rain.

All the people who've only drove modern vehicles that dampen that feel have no idea how close they are to calling 911.

Edit: I understand the joy it is to ride and how it represents freedom. Where I'm at now though, with all the 'watch for wildlife' signs and carcasses next to the road, I have a bit of a hard time trying to relax. The least of my worries are the speed goats, but the fact that they run so fast and can be in front of me in an instant keeps my head on a swivel. Those dumb mule deer are something else, and the open range cattle could care less if they're in the road. Just yesterday. I stopped to help a rancher get cattle back into the pasture. He was alone and I know a bit about herding livestock back into pasture.

This, coming from a guy who has rode a bicycle through herds of bison on a regular basis before going to work in the morning. That tail comes up and they're either going to take a dump or come at ya.

I remember my sport bike days....IDK how I made it out alive but I did. I'd rather have a XT2250 or new XT250 now days....but being on the roads don't even appeal to me really. I'd rather be a dad to my little girl than take a chance now on her not having a dad. IDK what happened to me but nothing I use to do is fun or appeals to me now.

However I bought a new kenda front tire for my 85 350X front rim. It's gonna be sweet!

I’m all for freedom, but if the powers that be were stupid enough to put me in charge for a few days, you would need to undergo training and procure a license to operate a car, a motorcycle, to drink alcohol, and most importantly of all, to breed.

Not so much since we got married, but I have vague recollections of that “look” back when we were dating.

Would it then be possible to become a licensed breeding trainer?

Where's the application and what are the benefits?
