Teaching myself rudimentary CNC with late 90's control. I got 2 of these mills in the shop now. This is what happens when u suddenly have space. I went with wood to start as z rapid got exciting quick. I'm not sure if chuck norris could have broken the board as fast!

I picked up a 1999 Yamaha R6 a while back. I still have it in the garage. Plan was to put it back on the road. It needed some minor work. My left knee pops in and out on the angle of a sportbike now. Not worth it having my knee pop out and can't put any weight on it at a light. Getting older.

I put an 88cc kit on my Gorilla last night. Today I fired it up and am impressed with the results! It pulls up hill in 3rd gear with ease.

I yanked my factory hi po heads off of this so I can sell them and then cleaned the block some then taped it off and painted it. Installed some 69 351 Windsor heads I had and got a custom cam from Herbert racing that matched the specs I wanted and it now runs xlnt.

Well unfortunately, one head is a 66 and the other is an early 67 which will affect the price a bit but the date code and part numbers are not visible with the valve covers on and they both have "19" on the outside of the head designating a hi po head and are otherwise identical, so if someone only needs heads with 19 or 21 on the outside and not matching date codes etc, I should still get at least $1,600.00 for the pair, but if someone needs an early 67 head I might get around $2,200.00 which is around where I will start them on fleabay.

    Thoughts on a 1984 Corvette.

Wife fell in love with a 1984 "little red corvette". 110000 miles, family owned, repainted, new front tires....seems nice..... $4500. I like to get deals on things when I purchase them but I feel this $4500 may be top dollar. Someone told me to run away from the first year C4 as the crossfire injection is problematic. I have no pictures.

    Anyone with C4 experience?........any year C4?

Agreed. I've had my share of Vettes. 84 is arguably one of the worst. Dude is spot on. 90 gets you the newer style interior with air bag and round tails. 91 up gets you squares. 97 up and now you're cooking. I would think a sharp buyer could find a 97 for double that and you will have ten times the car. Be prepared to climb up from the ground every time you get out of one. They are a hoot, but for my money. Camaros or Stangs. But everyone should own one once
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

I am turning my PM's Off,my Email is billsracing@hotmail.com,put 3WW in the subject. Thanx!

you are about 6 months too late cuz I recently sold my clean 86 cheap.

stock 84 suspension is very stiff.

any vette with z51 suspension is very stiff so unless she likes a harsh jarring teeth rattling ride, i would avoid the 84 and any vette with z51 suspension although if you remove the shocks from a stock 84 the suspension is noticeable softer.

the cross fire is easy to work on and there are many out there still running fine.

the 84 and 85 have iron heads.

all 86 convs had aluminum heads.

early 86 coupes had iron heads.

mid year 86 coupes like mine had aluminum heads.

there is factory auxiliary fan radiator option get one with this is you can. mine had it and needed it here in so cal or wherever the hell it is i live.

cheap tires are no longer available. i bought the last set in the us.

oops... i forgot...turn the key to the run position and make sure the check engine light comes, then start it and make sure it goes off then drive it for at least 10 minutes and beat the crap out of it. if the light comes back on, run away as fast as you can.

make sure ALL the dash and floor vents switch properly and that the ac works. if there is a problem in either of these areas...run away.

Thanks dude.........this would be more of a runner and toy.

My wife's been talking to them today and this is all but done. Making the Vegas run again this weekend but I am going to make arrangements for a Monday pickup.

I still think $4500 may be a little high but if it makes my bride happy........you know what it is!!

Like Bill says got to own one. I bought an '86 25 years ago, enjoyed driving it on long open highway trips, being stick shift a pain in the but in heavy traffic. No real major problems just normal maintenance issues. Don't drive it much now only to smog it as the wife bought a 50th w/auto. That price seems a little high as I been thinking about listing selling mine for less. Here's the one fact no one can argue when your in a Corvette everyone knows it's a Corvette, no mistaken identity.
