Parks Creek. Myself and a few others you might know (Barry for one) made most of those trails. Originally there was just one straight trail running parallel with the tracks. I think I was already riding on pavement when Birch was riding and we hardly ever went further south than WSP School.

The seat seems horrible compared to my electra glide and storage for "touring" is gone....at least for 2 up. Wind protection doesn't seem as good as my old GL1200.

I've also been contemplating Yamahas new flagship. I already own a v-twin but damn if it's not everything a long range tourer should be........and more features than any HD CVO at half the cost.

Too bad the 2 can't mate and take the best features from both and make an awsome tourer
Sounds to me like the Yammie is the way to go between the 2...or you could get yerself a very nice 2015 Police bike which has the all new World Renowned 350,000 mile water cooled engine with the accessible clutch, and I just so happen to know where one is at the moment.

hmmm...if only I could view photos on here.

You will need a lot of luck finding someone in Mordoor that can properly install them for you. I went thru 3 sets on my 1970 TA Challenger before I found someone that could install them correctly. I had the last set installed in the parking lot of the hotel I was staying at in Scottsdale before I took the car over to the Barrett Jackson auction, and the guy used a propane torch to aid in installing them on my brand new high end paint job, and it worked. He then poked any bubbles with a fine point poker, and even though the decals were not flawlessly smooth after he finished, they were 2 days later after being baked in the sun.

Phoenix graphix was out of the stripes at the time because I used up their inventory of them so they made me a set the same day I called them and I drove over in the afternoon and picked them up.

I posted the contact info on your cars build thread for a guy I know in Washington that can install the decals or who can refer you to someone that can do it correctly if you don't know anyone.

There’s a guy in the local Mopar club that does the decals. He did my 1970 Challenger and my 71 Cuda a few years ago.

    Yes.

I'm happy with my HD but this Transcontinental is something else.......and at 85K...my old girl,is getting up there. I love the Goldwing for its awsome motor and dct and like barns 350K beemer...a honda motor that will go forever with just oil changes but their new tourer is more in line with a loaded up sport bike than the old GL1200. I know they are trying to line up their bike for the millennial that may want on in the future but touring is touring no matter who you are the new wing made a turn in the other direction.

It took 3 attempts to make that and I scratched up the key real bad.

Since the seed was planted, I thought this would be the key to my growth. I’m stumped. Onward......

How many millennials do you see riding touring bikes?

Hipsters ride rat/chop/Bob/cafe bikes. They don't tour a damn thing. They ride between bars taking selfies and if they do ride long distance, there are chase trucks and a professional videographer in tow.... For Instagram purposes

I would think Honda can't be that out-of-touch, but I could be wrong. Much of their design and model lineup had left me scratching my head alot the last 20 yrs

Well the Quadractor is back home

I bought this maybe 10 years ago. I did a lot of work on it, sourced a parts machine and factory plow and 3 pt hitch. I never had the need for its primary use as a skidder. It was a tractor show novelty. 4wd, 4 wheel steer, weight is only about 500lb, 72:1 reduction, can skid 4000lb with 8 hp Briggs. Sold it and then bought the land/cabin. I began to miss it and occasionally checked CL. Well it popped up, clearly lost some of its luster but all there including parts.
Time to bring it back to its glory

Me and my wife went to Deus Ex Machina in Venice CA a couple of weeks back. Total hipster mecca. I bought a hat...I kinda like it. Me and my wife were walking around and I knew what all the hipsters were thinking..."are you old geezers lost?" haha!...."the Harley dealer is down the street". Nice place. I was there about 3 years before when someone I knew had his bozosuka CM400 there. Funny thing the Bultaco Alpina and CB450 they had on display were things I learned on and use to have (bultaco). I guess that makes me hipster.

But here's the deal.....the millennials are getting out. Any given weekend the desert is filled with Tacomas all adventured out...and they are using them. But for the life of me and all the faithful geezers who purchase goldwings ....we can't figure out why the change.
