When I was in a position of managing people I always thought of a situation like that as the person fired themselves. They knew what they were doing and knew the results if they got caught. It's a bit harder to let someone go that just can't perform the work, those are the hard ones..

Yes I think we all feel your pain with this one, tough for sure. Kind of crappy when the guy is down. But think about this.......it's not personal, it's business. What would you have lost if this continued for another 5 years? And it may even cost you the company if profits drop off from this current shat show were living in today. I think you deserve to do right by yourself/family by letting him go. When you have the conversation, ask him what he would do in the exact situation....you might be surprised at his answer? What's the prognosis of him even returning to work, maybe the problem is solved already?

Got tired of looking for wheels for my sister-in-law's '84 200BR.

She bought new tires and asked me to put them on. They were "tubed" before I got started trying to break the bead. Bead Breaker was struggling with it so I cut the tire apart with a utility knife to see what was going on inside there. This was a few months ago. Wheel ended up being rusted to the point of trashed, so I started looking for new ones. Couldn't find any that were aftermarket in 9x9 and 4x150, and the only used ones were $75/ea and up plus shipping on the Bay.

Found these wheels on The Bay....9x9 6-3 offset with a 4x137 bolt pattern but they were $75 shipped FOR THE PAIR and they were new.

So I snatched them up and took over a mill center at work this morning for an hour, setup the wheels, indicated wheel center, and drilled the 4x150 pattern in them clocked 90° from the other holes. She's good to go now. Hubs fit good. The offset was nice because the old tire sometimes rubs the new DG pipe when you're going hard in a turn. The offset keeps the inside of the right rear tire out of the muffler.

I'll mount new valve stems and the tires tonight or tomorrow.

They have some on EBay now. Just an FYI if you or anyone else is looking for more.

For sure, the offset is nice. Thanks for that tidbit about the stock being too close to the aftermarket exhaust. It's a bummer to rub a hole through a new muffler and a dirt covered tire can do that pretty darn quickly.

    Exact same brand I got.

I can tell you that these AMS steel wheels are very good quality and thick steel. They felt a little heavier guage than the stock wheels. Welds were nice. Look to be powder coated, maybe... Nice silver color..... These are good solid wheels for the money

We flip a lot of trikes, this is the second one this month. They aren’t show quality but we make sure there reliable and good riders. We have a pretty good stockpile of parts so if something doesn’t need extensive top end work the. We can flip these fairly quickly. 90/110’s are our specialty.

Used some HD engine brightener for the first time today.

I told myself I never wanted to use anything like that and that it was useless..... but now I wish I would have tried the stuff earlier.... very nice.
