Yes, very reliable work platform. Not as sought after as the 250, no rear suspension, but good machines all the same. This looks to be the shaft drive version which is an advantage as long as it's still got oil in the rear end.

This bike needs to bought back to its original glory

200es was only one year, 1984. In 1985 the 250es replaced the 200es. Prior to '84 the 200 Big Red (as all of these models were known) was a 200e. The 200e had e-start, 5spd dual range transmission, was chain drive and I'm not sure if it had reverse or not, can't remember. The '84 200es was all of the above but shaft drive and had reverse.

If it is shaft drive then it is an '84 200es, period. No other possible model/year.

Red, atc200es was a two year model in Australia, and was sold new along side the 250es. So I beg to differ on the whole no other possible model/year.

The subtransmission is not even remotely similar to that of a 200ES, and the "ears" at the lower rear of the fuel tank suggest that it is either a 185S or 200S item.

I don't know where Pagagould is, but in North America that is a 82 or 83 Big red. It is chain drive.
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

Guys, that is a 200es, every day of the week. Sure the year is debatable, but that reverse/shaft drive sub assembly, forks and plastic are unmistakable.
