Just picked up an 85 250R. I want to run 9" wheels. Is the 300 or 400 ex axle amd carrier the easiest way to achieve this? Great site you have here

The stock rear wheels on the 85-86 250r are 9 inch.

The ones it came with must be after market. They are 10", not crazy about them.

The easiest way to do it would be to buy a set of 9" wheels that fit what you have. If its a stock axle, keep it. 9" is what it came with.
