    So need some 3wheelerworld advice...

Think I'm going to sell my 86 200x. Have a couple local guys here in KC interested, but not sure what is reasonable, so would like some honest feedback. I've never sold one (keeping my 86 R for now).

    Basics:
    - frame and swing arm sandblasted and powder coated
    - Maier fenders all around
    - Seat reupholstered by Cosmic Quads
    - New tires all around, 20x8x10 on back, Kenda on front
    - OE replica tank shrouds and fork boot covers from Bill at Bills Racing
    - OE replica handlebars, grips and kill switch from ebay seller
    - kickstarter, footpegs, shifter, grab bar and gas tank all sandblasted and professionally painted with urethane paint
    - Motor also pulled, bored, new Wiseco piston, new gaskets, sandblasted and professionally painted
    - Minor stuff, new All Balls bearings, brake pads, fuel and brake lines, etc.
    - New DG exhaust

Plus a bunch of other stuff here and there. Couple pics. Have OE headlight that's in great shape, put an 86 R headlight for something different.

    Thanks all.

That 200x is clean. I can see that going for $1500 here is Texas.

Sadly, you probably won't get what you have into it. I'd put it on for 2k and see what bites you get. If a serious buyer offers $1700,,, it would be tough to say no. Prices are high because nobody is selling. If you want to move it, you can. If you're looking for eBay $$$, be prepared to wait for the right person.

    PS- Nice trike,,, keep it.

Geesh, now you all got me depressed...lol. I thought these things were worth more. I was thinking around $3k. Probably just put it in storage or take a dump on it. I guess vintage trikes aren't really aren't worth much?

Edit, vintage all OE trikes are worth more.

Now I wish I had never restored my 86 250R when you see this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-Honda-A...%257Ciid%253A1

Mine might not be all OE, but every part has been gone through and either replaced with OE parts or better than OE, besides the plastic, which is Maier. Oh well, guess I'll put them both in storage for the next 10 years...lol.

I sold my 86 250R for $4000.00 & never came close to what i had in it.
Never expect to make a profit...just enjoy it. Kinda like owning a boat.

Storage? Trikes are not investments. You gotta ride em and enjoy em. You don't have to thrash em tho. Take TLC of em, tinker on em. I love this hobby.

Yeah I probably do more tinkering on them than riding. I've only got the X out once this year and rode for a good 3-4 hours with my bro on his 350x. I haven't had the R out in 2 years...lol. I just start it up every now and then to get the cobwebs out and putter up and down my street. It really needs taken out and opened up, maybe this Fall.

Like atc007 said, geography plays big roll in price! Everything up north is more expensive when it comes to trikes imo.

Ha, I think I paid $1,400 for it 2.5 years ago and it was all OE, but in very rough shape. The rear fender was busted up, the tires were original but had little tread and didn't hold air, the tank had multiple dents, etc.

That's a good thread, what your trike looked like before and after! My 86 R was pink, literally from sitting in the sun for a decade or more. Now it looks beautiful, if I must say...lol
