Can anyone tell me what parts will swap between the YT125 and 175? I'm thinking they might be the same bike other than displacement and front shocks. Is this correct? If not, will the plastic and wheels at least swap? Thanks.

You are correct. They are the same machine with the exception of the top end, pipe, intake, front suspension.
The bottom ends/cranks are the same and those parts do interchange assuming you have all of them. Different years are built slightly different in the bottom end. the 1980 model is a little weaker. The 125s also have more weights in the centrifugal clutch. Removing these will increase the stall, but also decrease clutch life.
I just wanna go fast. If your not first, your last!!
