    1984 ATC 70 no spark

    Hey guys I got an 84 ATC 70 with no spark I replace the points and the condenser also changed flywheels it ran about 15 years ago haven't touched it since I also replace the coil and plug I am at a loss what do I do please help the flywheel came off and identical bike I still have the original don't know if this matters

    Did you set the point gap and did you confirm the timing?

    The shop manual describes how to do this in pretty good detail. Download the manual to get the full story, but here are the two important steps:

    I am curious as to what coil you purchased and where. It seems a few sellers on ebay advertise a coil for the 70 that will not work. if i remember correctly the stock coil is a 6v and they sell 12v coils. I ran into that issue and just had to find the correct coil. As wonderboy said be sure to make sure the points are set correctly and timing is right.
