Looking for a spare titled 86 350x frame or just the vin part with title.

Why not simply title it like you received it ???
Frame / engine numbers are still on the machine correct ?
Yeah that’s a stolen bike.

I was under the impression that titles weren't required until '95 or '96. You should be able to have one made for that frame if it's untitled.

Title laws are state-by-state, and many states won't title or license atv's. There are some states that only offered a "certificate of origin" if I remember correctly, and that was about it. Pretty much so the state could collect sales tax where applicable, and the farmer could write off a purchase. That has been my experience, ymmv.
I'm not saying it is or isn't stolen, just some lucky folks on here live in states that could care less about a 30 year old vehicle that is or isn't titled, and it makes me Jealous.

What's the difference if you title that trike, or transfer the title on a different one ?. Am I missing the point ?. My wife owns a DMV registration business and get new titles on stuff all the time as long as the VIN clears. Just because the trike was never titled doesn't
mean it can't be.

The trike didn’t have a title when I bought it, just a bill of sale. To apply for lost title in wa state is like a 3 year process and I would just rather transfer everything to a new frame than wait 3 years. I would like to be able to ride it on back roads around my area and it would just be an easier process since I’m tearing the bike down for rebuild anyway.
Here in NY I don't have any titles for my trikes. I have 3 registered . The registrations are proof of ownership and I can sign them over to new buyers. What I had to do is take a pic or rubbing of the serial # and fill out a couple forms from the DMV got the plates right there.I have owned them all more than 3 years so I don't need anything form prior owner.
