Does insurance cover injury of your child?
I was looking into insurance coverage on my 2 atc70's, 1 250sx, and 2 trx70's. I was concerned mostly about an injury to one of my grand children or someone else. The insurance said they would not cover an unlicensed rider. So, a 12 yo riding an atc70 or trx70 and an injury or worse happens there would be no coverage.
Has anyone heard different? I was told it was an industry standard.

In California you can’t even get that kind of coverage on an atc/atv /dirt bike. Just theft and fire. What I do is carry an umbrella poilicy attached to my home owners. Covers anything your liable for (mines 1million coverage) just in case something terrible happens. I also don’t let people ride my stuff. Obviously my wife and kids are exceptions but at that point I have medical insurance for them so this theory doesn’t apply. Try looking into that. Mines fairly affordable and attached to my mortgage.

Thanks for your response. I am in AZ and I posed a scenario. If my 9 year old g-son should hit someone or do property damage to another would it be covered? They said no. So even if I have coverage and under my umbrella coverage it would not cover because he is not a licensed driver. That’s the kind of coverage I am most concerned about. I am not worried about theft or damages to the trike. I can always repair or replace the trike.

My insurance agent seemed to implode my umbrella covered anything I need it for. But I’ll ask again this week with regards to the Un insured driver aspect.
