I have an opportunity to pick up an 82 250r and pretty good shape, running, just minor things like choke lever not staying up, etc. the guy wanted 950, but we agreed at 800. Is this too high?

It is tough to say. It depends a lot on your location. Here in Oregon, you can find some really good deals on ATCs because our local market does not demand higher prices. I have noticed a little bit of a rise in asking prices lately though. $800 does not seem too bad if it is in pretty good shape and running. What about the tires? Tires can make a big difference. Depending on the brand and model, new tires and add significantly to the value of the trike. If you will need to put new tires on it, it will make it less of a good deal. How hard are ATCs to find in your area?
I’ve been searching for a while and all the ones that do come up in my state, Texas, are usually $2k and up.
How hard are 250’s to find?
I found one on CL in my area in very clean shape, an '83 asking 1900.00.

You see, that’s what I’m faced with. I think I am going to get this one. Everything is there, it’s a runner.

That’s worth 800 all day long if it runs
Just picked it up. It’s in better shape and condition than I thought. I guess the pics didn’t do it justice.
