    Leckich tuning

I just bought what I was told an ‘82 250r and today I was going through and accessing what I want to do to it. I noticed this badge on the rear fender and not sure what it means. Then I was looking at the motor and found the motor identification and, to me, it doesn’t match up. Also, this may just be a sticker, but on the air box, it says Motion Pro. The spark arrestor also is from a Kawasaki. The PO told me it was from his Tecate, that he put it on there. Any info on what Leckich Tuning is and the year of this motor?

Here are pics of both sides of the motor.

I noticed that too that it looks like someone spray painted it. I know the previous owner told me his brother raced dirt bikes in a California and he has had this 250r for seven years. I was going to get a hold of him to see if I can get any more info.

    It’s a 210000 engine stamp. It’s an 82 250r motor.

I just went out to the garage and you are right. It is 210...the previous pic was deceiving (must have been the lighting). Any info on why it has a Leckich badge on the fenders?

Here’s some good write ups on Jerry.

He did some of his own castings. Only way to tell if he ported it is to open it up and look at the transfer tunnels and intake/exhaust ports.

I was reading about Jerry and his son Mike. They both seemed like good ole boys. I guess I am going to have to pop this open. I will also get a hold of the previous owner to see if I can get some additional info on this bike. I will post any info here, hopefully to add some history to our passions.
