I am having trouble wiring this new taillight. I am not sure which wires go where? there are red and green connectors for the atc but on the tail light theirs 3 wires one red one black and one black and white?

That taillight is probably designed for a brake light as well. How many filaments are in the bulb?

You can cap off the red if you don't need a brake light.

I have this setup on my '83X My wires are brown and green on the ATC. Same wires as you have on the tail light. Yes it is made for a running light with a brake light. 2 filaments. 1157 bulb
I wired mine Brown-Black
Green-Black with the white tracer
I left the red wire from the tail light disconnected. This gives me running light only
I did not want to go brighter and use my brake light combined. Yes you can wire it up different to make it brighter. I was cool with just a running light.
