    ATC 200X Not Running Right

I recently changed my carb on my 200x and it idles really high and when I turn the idle screw down or up it doesn't change the idle at all so I put my old car back on and then its doing the same thing. Some times if i let it run like that it might just accelerate without me even touching the throttle. Is there a way I could fix this or what is going on? Im thinking of taking it to a shop but I would rather try to fix it at my house before I do that and spend a lot of money.

Could be that your intake boot is leaking or your throttle cable isn’t returning all the way down.

Sounds more like cable to me. Obviously check for leaks also.

Could also be you put your slide in backwards. Make sure when you put it in it slides all the way to the bottom.

Improper cable routing is my guess.

I've had a similar issue and it turned out to be a broken cable casing. I could rev the engine by pulling on the throttle cable up by the handlebars or steering the machine. I bought a new throttle cable and was good to go.

This was my experience. It may not be your problem but it's and easy thing to check off the list.

Good stuff. I thought if the slide was in backwards it would rev to the moon.
    Good to know.
