    1985 200X Timing Mark, Groove or Notch... what gives?

    This may seem obvious, but I’d like other opinions please. Did Honda make timing mark changes to the casing on the 85 200X?

    Please check out the pic...I would normally assume the groove in the inspection hole threads is TDC, however what is the other notch machined in the case for? Seems out of place and without purpose, which is unlike Honda.

    Anyone else ask this question...

    Use the small inside groove. That groove on the outside shouldn't even be there. Looks like someone modded that cover for whatever reason
