What's the deal with my exhaust? Fitment issues...

Just got this silencer since the one that came on this '85 250r seemed to be from an ~'84 250r... Both rear mount were missing so I got the BDT kit as well.

Now, I go to put this sucker together and I'm a million miles from nowhere... Cleaned the heck out of the slip joint and both front mounts line up. Do I have this stuff on backways, upside out, inside down? I had no frame of reference taking it apart since everything was long gone.

I'm only guessing, but I'm thinking you're having a problem because you have a stock pipe with an aftermarket silencer. I could be wrong though.

Strange thing is, the forward mount on the silencer lines up. If I have it on right anyway... The rear one is about 2" too far back and the whole silencer points out away from the frame.

Well, guess I figured it out... They shipped me a TRX250R silencer. No wonder it doesn't fit.

Had a trip to the dunes planned for this weekend, bought and paid for.

Put out an APB on the bookface or something, maybe someone near you could lend you a silencer.

I could run the '84 or whatever but it's melting my coolant bottle. Just going to take this time to pull the top end off and check for any bottom end issues.
