350x electrical lighting question...blew out update

Just bought a set of 80w l.e.d.s for the 350x https://m.ebay.com/itm/2X-80W-H6M-H6....c100891.m5206 - buddy has them on his 250sx and look killer. My question is - do I need any sort of resistor since the 350x doesn't have a battery?

350x has a voltage regulator so they should be ok with no battery , just give it a try , if theirs an issue at idle we’re theirs not enough wattage then you might look into installing a battery .

Hey thanks for the reply shortline! Been a few!

I just did some quick reading on this prior to posting and I guess the issue was not so much at idle but under higher rpm. Oh well I will run 'em.

Nice. Let us know how it works out. I'm interested in better lighting and even adding a battery on a 350x

I run a couple of 18W LED cubes on my 350X along with 35W Halogen bulbs in the stock headlights.
I just plugged them in and run them off the AC lighting system.

Ok well I installed them today. They lit up and lasted about 15 seconds then went dark. Will not work in high or low beam so I'm assuming they blew out. Any idea how to make these work or what went wrong?

I've heard some LEDs don't like AC voltage and some do. Maybe that's the issue.

That rumor was precisely the reason I put a battery and a regulator/rectifier on my 200X to run mine.
