Broke my Case, So i desided to restore it.. more pics added

Well yea i was retarded and didnt tighten my chain up enough and it flew off and hit my case and broke it right around the shifter.. Im going to pull it off and try to weld it up with a tig welder at my dads work with the motor all still together.. or will i have to tear it all the way down to fix it? Im really thinking of fully restoring it now.. teh frame need's a repaint..

You guys think i should do a frame up resto on it??

And what im back to riding now

I got this bike on the 21st of January.. It had really bent forks when i first got it. GOt about $720 in it right now... now i have to spend even more.. does it ever end??

The blaster runs but not very good it keeps fouling plugs even with a good carb.. I think the stator is going out.

welding it back up should be a snap...make sure you sandblast or clean the area really good and no gas...i'd take the carb off and the reeds out so no gas fumes are present let the engine sit for a while apart like that and let the gas fumes leave...dont want no fires...but if you can use the tig welder good it wont be a problem

yea.. I dont want to rebuild the motor.. it runs really good.. I just hope they can weld it without the shifter shaft messing up.

DANG 4 some reason that broken case looks very familiar, My R is sittin up cause of the SAME EXACT PROBLEM

:evil: My top-end is at Hardrockmotorsports right now gettin ported and the head shaved. My case looks just like yours, a chunk broke underneath the shifter! I also am lookin 4 a Case skippy. Oh well..... It is a BE-AUTCH, it'll be goin at the end of the month.

I sand blasted my stator cover and attmepted to polish it but this stuff wont get shiny!!!!...
