ATC110 shift shaft

I am curious I have a atc110 1982 that I am rebuilding the top end and a new timing chain but the shift shaft is all striped out and I would like to put in a new one what years will work I saw a 1980 one on ebay will this fit also is there any other tools other than the clutch socket to remove it Thanks mike

all years 110 will work. the clutch sockets are cheap price on ebay. I made one out of a 1/2 drive impact socket. Best to just buy one and your done. I ended up buying one but had to grind a tab down a bit for it to fit the nut right.
