    Honda 200s rear brake drum

Currently replacing axle bearings but rear brake drum is seized to axle. Tried heat Krill oil and prying without any movement of drum. Any ideas on removing or should I just scrap it and try to find a donor rear assembly ???

Just keep soaking it with penetrating oil.

Once you get the two locking nuts off and your chain, you can put a block of wood or chunk of soft lead on the end of the axle and give it a few solid licks from a large . Just don't beat on it directly, you'll regret that.

Stay steady with PB Blaster or some such, heat it up with a propane torch an tap the drum repeatedly, close to the splines with a as you pry on it. It should come.

Thanks for the feedback. I will continue on. Will update on this. Glad I didn’t just stop with the you tube videos. They recommend give up and get a donor rear assembly. Give up is a dirty word.

I just had the thought that maybe your shoes are worn into the drum, maybe loosen/remove the cable and make sure the shoes are fully retracted and try again. Had that happen on an old car i had, and i forced it with a prybar, and the shoes went flying along with every spring and pin and clip in there

I've always used a piece of pipe to fit over the threads and it would fit on the flange of the axle. Then your able to hit it really hard with a big with out damaging the axle.

Still working on it. Haven’t budged it yet. I have a 1983 Big Red and by measuring it appears it would fit. Just not sure. I had hopes on building the Big Red Next. So I am very reluctant to rob it for parts. But may have to go that route. I plan to give some more time before going this way.
