    185 chain problems

    hi well this is a 185 with suspension on it and i made a chain tensior for it but when i hit the gas the chain gets really loose.im thinking my shock might be to soft. can anyone post a pic off thier atc so i can see what the chain tensior looks like.thanks

    you need some type of spring loaded roller on an arm to take up the loose chain.

    i do i made one but the chain keeps getting loose

    stronger spring?

    or do you mean that it keeps getting loose as in you tighten it and then after you ride it it's just plain loose? since you made your own swingarm i don't know what kind of chain tensioner you're using, but i just use a jam nut on my chain tensioner and tighten the bolts on the bearing carrier real tight.

    no i have the chain tenser on the top of the chain.when the i hit the gas the bottom of the chain gets really loose

    trailprotrailpro tensioner needs to be on bottom the torque from the motor pulling the chain is going to loosen it every time. make it so the bottom is what is adjusted to be tight and it will never loosen up
