MacWorth Vintage ATVs has been scanning all the magazines and has created an awesome site. The article you are looking for is from June 1985 3-Wheeling Magazine.

Thanks very much guys. This is a good thing to bring back from the dead. Those guys watching must have been excited to see which one would perform the best! It looks like about 28 exhausts that were being tested and there were probably a few more. A few years ago I found a NIB "Superflow" that had a long megaphone on it, I had never heard of one before and I decided to keep it. ED- I just read the Dyno itself was also called a Super Flow, funny coincidence. And also kind of weird that only 1 pipe required a size higher main jet, the rest were fine with no air box lid and the stock carb. I think I myself have a tendency to jet a bit too rich when opening airboxes and and better flowing exhausts. I do usually have a cam and a 10:25 or 11:1 piston though. And, as they say, leaner is meaner.

He doesn’t make em anymore. I bought a Lexx muffler for a trx450r and sent the whole thing to HRE in Pennsylvania and he made me a custom header. Looks awesome. The Lexx comes with a remove ale quiet core / spark arrestor and has optional tuneable end caps.

So....I used a 400ex LEXX muffler and turned a billet spacer adapter to mate my cobra pipe size to the 400ex pip size. It sounded good and bolted right out. I use these set ups on all the machines I build anymore for 4 strokes. Currently doing the same thing with a warrior.

Any machine shop can do it. The adapter slipped inside the 400ex pipe and slipped over the 200x pipe. I had photos but this all I can find anymore. It's a $225 muffler with tune-able tips for sound. I ran a turn down tip.
