    Buffing klt plastic

I've had really good success with buffing honda plastic but I've had trouble with a friends klt plastic. I've used all the same wet sand paper as the honda.it comes nice and smooth but when I do the buffing my 3m ultra fine cut won't bring out that nice shine like the honda plastic. I've noticed it doesn't leave a color on my pad like it's not cutting. the klt plastic I noticed isn't hard like the honda.its more flexible like trim z plastic. I appreciate any input thanks.

Sounds like the plastic is different. I know my 1st generation Tecate plastic is different than my other machines. To bring out the shine you might try a heat gun. You want to be careful to keep the gun moving and not get any one spot too hot. There are videos of how to do it on youtube.

I actually thought about that, but since it's not my plastic I got nervous. I'll have to check out some YouTube.
