    How/were to measure NEW valves??

I have some NOS Vesrah valves I got in a dealers lot I bought along with some other goodies.

Obviously I can measure the stem O.D. and the length. But where do you measure the valve itself? Such as 28mm; I dont think you measure the largest part of the valve, I'm thinking in the middle of the contact area??

Where my Vernier is now (in inches obviously) is where the are in the photo.

Anyhow, I've got a bunch of a few different sizes, along with some NOS OEM rings for the 185, Tecate and 200X; The seller said these parts were all for ATC's. Had some Big Al's in there too...

They are Vesrah valves, and they look older, not rusty, just older. Which means they are probably a quality older Japanese product.
IDK how long Vesrahs been around.

    Thanks for any help...
