I can't see why not. If it's from a 1200 then each muffler HAS to be capable of taking 600cc. I'd say you'll have NO back pressure problems. I'd be curious as to how loud it is though. I see harley mufflers (factory) around here often for fairly cheap. MIght make a good option for future builds.

    Try it and report back.

Call me crazy, but putting a large CC open Harley muffler on a mild 250CC 4 stroke engine isn't going to add any benefits whatsoever.

It will most likely create a lean condition that will require re jetting.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between a 'Harley Muffler' and a piece of triple chrome plated 18ga. pipe with a slight bend in it?
    It sucks to get old

Yes, the harley muffler costs around 10 times more....and the chrome will rust then flake off of it.

Is it a stock Harley muffler or aftermarket?

Has the baffle been punched out?

Harley mufflers aren't neccesarily "open" mufflers. The only real open "muffler" for a Harley is drag pipes without baffles. Even if you punch the end cap out of a baffle in a stock Harley muffler the exhaust is still forced thrust the baffle material.

I just don’t get it. If Harley makes you happy, then by all means but it’s about the most inefficient small engine ever built.
Waaaaay too expensive too. No reason for that.

I’m of a practical mind and you can easily make more power with twice the reliability.
And I don’t mean them silly crotch rockets either.....although..Jesus what that Hyabusa will do. That’s insane.
    Yamaha V-max comes to mind.
But admittedly I’m a bit of a hypocrite. I change polarity immediately when you step into automobiles. For what you spend making a tuner run, I could build a small block that’ll tear chunks of asphalt up off the ground when you nail it.

We all have our opinions. Most of them are worthless. Mine are anyway.

If it wasnt so hard for me to post a pic, i would. Is there an easy way to post a pic now that photobucket sucks...lol. gimmee a break ..im an old fart
