Need dimensions 85-86 250R rear grab bar

Trying to save some project money so I'm fabricating my own rear grab bar.

I got the bar and tabs cut, drilled, and mocked up...good to go so far....I need to know what size bolt hole for the whip (flag) so I can make a tab for that. I'll need a flag for dune riding at some point soon.

Also if anyone has the tabs for a rear number plate on their grab bar, I could use just the measurement between the number plate mounting holes for that, and I can figure out the rest myself.

    Thanks ahead of time

Well you better dig it out. It's probably worth $475 BuyItNow.

I’m away right now, otherwise I would measure the whipflag mounting hole diameter for you. It looks like you’ve got a nice headstart though. My grab bar used to have a number plate mount, but I cut it off. I lost all interest in racing when I heard the Tecate was most powerful or something like that. So I figured, why bother? It all seems so futile now.

I went and bought a Tecate so all my bases would be covered.

I think there are a few options out there because I had to drill the hole out on my PRM grab bar to get the quick release holder I bought to fit. It was also too big for the factory hole on my YTM.

Might want to pop a 3/8" hole in for now and wait to get a flag holder before finalizing the opening with a hand drill. I think I ended up at 1/2" but I'll post the opening I ended up with when I get to the shop later tonight.

Those "ATC" bars look better than factory!

You might want to buy the holder and thread the hole to match. Extra insurance when you add the nut on the bottom.
