Thanks for the input everyone. It sounds like the touch up route would be more trouble than the results would be worth . . .
There aren't that many spots, and none of them have any rust, so I think I'll just run with it as is.

Hey Jasong_10,
I like a little wear on a bike, it gives it character, I don't like rust, you can treat the rust and seal it so it stops using a clear sealer, so it looks like your not covering or hiding something.
Update the shop is looking very empty today, I honestly feel kinda sad. That's the nature of the game, i guess.
I sold the "General 185" this morning, and tomorrow I have a guy coming for the "mexico beach truck load-o-parts"
This will leave me with 1 build going on and no complete atc's for sale.
I'm going to keep:
350x
250sx
250es
200x-auto
125m (daughters)
"Bradford" is being built now and should make the marketplace in a couple weeks. Its a 200e with a 200m front end. should make for a nice rider. High and low, chain drive.
I have an opportunity to buy 5 riders, nothing really special, nothing running: 200e, 200s, 185s and 2 parts bike another 200e and another 185s. It would certainly keep me busy over the winter.
We will see.

Teaser alert............
I had to borrow a larger trailer for tomorrows run..... details tomorrow night.
This weekend, I sold "The general" and " Mexico beach truck-load-of-parts". I ran the numbers on Mexico beach build and it was more profitable to sell the parts vs rebuild an entire bike using those parts, I made more and worked less. That's a win, win, win.

First...you!
Second, that looks like a Saddlemen seat cover and foam on the 185S. I can't really tell the actual condition, but you know if that seat is even usable, with a decent pan, it's probably worth more than you paid for the trike.
Third. It looks like you got some with gun rack mounts, but that 200E has something crazy going on. 50cal mount?
Lastly. Seller was like, buy all or none?![]()
That's incredible. If you do this long enough you're going to have restored over half of all the ATCs in thd southeast, lol.

I can't wait to get out to the shop and really dig into the pile, I know there not beauty queens but I should be able to salvage at least 3 and them, and have some really good parts to either sale or use as needed. There is 2-185 pull cords, 2-200 pull cords and 5 of the 7 have seats, 3 of the tanks look salvageable. I may try brazing a few of these tanks.
This was a numbers game, I went to buy 5, he was firm on the price, I opted to buy 3 instead, his 3 price was really close to his 5 price, I walked away, I told him I had to pass on all of them( this was not a tactic, I really didn't see the same value he did, and was leaving (2hr ride one way). He counter-offered his own firm offer. I stopped, I countered his counter offer, he offered to meet in the middle. I closed the deal.
ATCKing- that gun rack looked home made, it had a homemade foot guard and rear rack extender, it was all shotty, the rack held the gun pointing in the direction you would be driving or forward. very odd. I will get a picture of the "saddleman seat" I have never heard of that brand, its very soft, it has a tag on it. did you see the front rack on the 200s? it has a sticker on it, I think its a hondaline, it mounts to the 2 bolts clamping the fork then curve's forward, no 45 degree braces.
kinda neat. That's another cool thing is finding nuggets like the seat and things that may be rare or regional or just very limited production. Half the reason I post pics is to see if you guys see something I missed. I have a lot of work ahead of me, thanks for following along.
The art of the deal, ATC style

They keep multiplying like rabbits xD. Some of those machines look closer to the typical machine I grabbed in the past. Unless there's major problems, you'll probably get like 4-5 ridable machines out of the batch going off your older numbers and such xD.
So here is the real break down of what I hauled home.
2-200e, 1-125m, 2-200s, 1-200 and 1-185s
These all came from one place in Enterprise, Alabama so
Welcome home girls, I will name the as I pull them out for build up.
A few interesting things, Hondaline 200s rack, also this is a very wide frontend like an M 9 inch wheels
a "TravelCade"? seat on the 185s 4 working shock style frontends and 5 good seat/pans/foam
If I sold the pullcord assemblies, seats and hondaline rack would pay for the whole bunch.

A couple of those machines look like a super easy flip for you. That 200S engine looks quite clean in the 2nd to the last photo. Good luck on digging into the machines and working out what all is wrong with them.
Travelcade's old address is the same as Saddlemen's current one.
17801 S Susana Rd.
Rancho Dominguez, CA 90221
May be the same company, but I don't think either of them (if Travelcade is still used) make ATV seats and covers anymore. Saddelmen is still in business, making motorcycle seats.
I think I had a Travelcade seat or cover on a 110 of mine years ago. My 185S has a Saddelmen seat on it now, the 'safety nose' version, which is like a Hi-Flite that runs onto the top of the fuel tank, nearly to the cap. They're really nice to have, more room to move around.
The vinyl they used was very good quality and thick, and the stitching equally as nice.
A 200E would be an excellent starting point for a full suspension upgrade, with an electric start, high/low range engine. That would be an ideal trail machine. Get ride of the racks and trunk, modify the frame to accept 185S seat and fenders, and put a six pack rack on it.

ATC King, thats cool, i am amazed at your dedication to track down past and present addresses, are you a P.I.? your should be.
DShot59, I am sorry I don't have an extra 185 pan/seat, If I find you I will let you know,
So, I learned something today, the front end on a 200 is not the same as a 185s or a 200s. I had a front end on a 200s and put it on a 200e, since its front end was locked up. You know, to make it nicer and more sellable. "Bradford" got the face lift. But this front end was in pieces when I got it. it all looked right but when I went to put it together I found out it is not. seems the axles are different, about 1 3/4 inch different. I pulled the axle out of another complete bike to finish bradford. I think I can thread the longer axle and cut off the excess if in the future I need the shorter version, a shim or spacer would not center the front tire.
So keep that in mind when swapping parts, the spread on the down tubes very, by as much as 2 inches, This is why some 25x12x9 tires look to big or rub, when other don't.
I have also found a 200 with 9 inch wheels and a 200s with 8 inch wheels, this also dictates the front hub.
Photos shows the difference and the bike it came from

Would be interesting to compile a list of the 3 wheeler front ends and their measurements. For ID'ing parts and also to work out interchanges. As whole units they swap generally, there's like 2 main neck heights of my understanding, but the rest of the details are kind of a wash.
