    200X Misfire/Bog at Partial Throttle/Cruise

Thanks for all the great threads and info on this site! Ive never posted a question before, but I am very stumped so here it goes... I have a freshly rebuilt 1983 Honda 200X thats all factory except a 10.25:1 piston. When holding the throttle partially open, at any one position (either riding or just in neutral), it stutters, misses and runs rough, but idles fine and accelerates great. I’m a bit stumped, Ive rebuilt the carb, my mixture is set 1 3/4 out, jet on 4th groove, all internals cleaned/new, new O-Rings. My timing is set, valves set, new spark plug, new air filter, and yet still the issue persists. Ive tried looking on many forums for this concern, but no luck... Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

    Solved!

I did a bit more playing around with the carb, turns out it must have been a rich misfire at partial throttle. I moved the needle clip on the jet needle to the 3rd groove and it improved, then to the 2nd groove and it went away. Problem Solved!

That would have been my guess.
