    Swing arm bearings or bushings?

I have a YTM225DX that needs swing arm bearings. I am under the assumption, from parts in catalogs, that these can be replaced with a bushing and that will give a longer wearing connection. True or False? Anyone have input on this? Thanks Rod

I'm not sure, but I've never replaced the bearings in mine. As long as their clean, and have good seals, and are greased, they should last forever. The only bushing that I'd go with would be an oil-lite or a nylon one. Not sure if you want high silicon or not. I'd think you'd want low. Metal bushings wouldn't be worth it.

Mine are shot to the point that when I lift up and down on the grab bar there is noise and movement.

I went throught this last weekend (200x). I replaced bearings, bushings, sleeve, bolt, and dust seals. I had the same prob. The bearings were gone.
