200X Axle / HuB???

:-D OK...Beautiful day, 30 degrees, sunny, first chance to ride in 2wks.(I only have 3 hr. window to ride) I wheelie out of the garage, down the drive, across the rode to buds (200x) house. Trike running good. I get there he says watch this, jumps on, dumps the clutch, and starts rippin up the yard- with the left tire, rights kinda just along for the ride. After inspection, found hub and axle splines shot! :evil: Clocks ticking so I suggested welding hub to axle for the ride. So to my house we went, I got a little 110v. mig welder(handy little bugger),well we ended up welding both sides solid (and straight) I think (no noticeable vibration or shimmy when riding down pavement) 20 min. later we're off and rippin!!It was a GREAT ride!!! My question(s) are:
1.What axle/hub combo will interchange with '86 200x
2.Is it okay to ride like this? Or causing damage to swingarm bearings/bushing etc.?
3.Does anybody have axle hubs in good or better cond. for sale?HOWDY-anybody.

i kinda have the same problem with my 86 200x as you als250. i went riding yesterday and i landed on the left tire first off a jump. i bent my stock axle pretty bad(the wheel spacers made the axle easier to bend.) since the stock axle didint hold up very well, i want to get a stronger aftermarket axle. i looked up durablue to see if they have a axle. they discontinued the 86-87 200x. my queston is will a axle from another bike fit?
