As far as I know, the YT175 was only produced in 82-83. I believe that the only difference between the two is the addition of a vacuum operated fuel pump on the 83. the two should be interchangeable.

alright thanks, the only difference that I see it the carbs the 82 is a 24mm and the 83 is a 20mm atleast thats what I think VM24 and VM20 mean. Is the mm the size of the carb going into the rubber intake? also will the vm24 slide fit into the vm20 slide hole?
